Loan Policies

  • Equipment/devices are loaned for a period of 2 weeks (loan times can be adjusted based on individual circumstances or demand for equipment)

  • All borrowers must sign a loan or borrower form agreeing to be responsible for the equipment/devices while in their possession and/or to replace/repair the borrowed equipment if lost, damaged or stolen

  • Borrowers use all equipment/devices at their own risk

  • Equipment/devices can be picked up at AzTAP or be shipped via FedEx to the borrower (AzTAP pays for shipping both ways)

  • AzTAP's AT demonstration and loan program serves all areas of Arizona

  • At this time there are no fees to borrow equipment/devices from the AzTAP AT demonstration and loan program

Long Term Loans

A long term loan item is either a pre-identified piece of Assistive Technology requested and made available to an organization by AzTAP or it is an item that is no longer potentially helpful to a consumer in a decision making process and/or is no longer commercially available for purchase or acquisition. In the case of these two latter conditions these items will still have potential usefulness to a person with a disability. Long term loan equipment from AzTAP can be checked out with a signed loan agreement for an open ended and/or indefinite period of time. AzTAP staff will follow up with the long term borrower on an annual basis to check on the user’s status with the device or piece of equipment. If and when the device or piece of equipment malfunctions or is no longer needed by the user then arrangements must be made for its return to AzTAP.
