About the AzTAP AT Demonstration & Loan Program

One of The Arizona Technology Access Programs (AzTAP) key objectives is to assist consumers and service providers to become better educated about assistive technology (AT). The belief is that knowledgeable consumers are more likely to select technology that best meets their needs if they have an opportunity to learn about and try the technology before purchase. To accomplish this, AzTAP operates short-term equipment demonstration and loan programs.  Loan programs allow stakeholders to borrow equipment and try it in their natural environments (home, school, workplace, etc.) to assist them in making a more informed decision as to whether the product and its features will be useful to them.  Equipment demonstrations are a guided, hands on exploration with an AT Specialist of equipment/devices and their features. The AzTAP AT Lab and the equipment and devices in our inventory are available to therapists throughout the community to do evaluations.  Equipment demonstrations, loans and use of the AzTAP AT Lab are provided at no cost to consumers or service providers.  If you would like to know more about AT that work for you or someone in your life please contact an AzTAP AT Specialist.
